Sycamore to host Leap Day Self-Care Fair – DeKalb Daily Chronicle

Written by admin

SYCAMORE – It’s Leap Year, so you get one extra day. The Sycamore Park Distict is inviting you to spend it on yourself.

The district will host a Leap Day Self-Care Fair from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Sycamore Park District Community Center, 480 S. Airport Road.

Self-care is the practice of taking an active role in protecting one’s own well-being and happiness.

A variety of vendors and demonstrations at the free event will help self-care seekers find wellness, fun, health and maybe even a bit of indulgence.

Come ready to unwind and go home with inspiration and some new community resources to help you incorporate self-care into your routine.

Also during the fair, people with Leap Day birthdays will be celebrated from 9:29 a.m. to 10:29 a.m.

There will be birthday cake, and guests will be invited to share their story about what it means to be a Leap Baby.

Bring an unwrapped gift to be given to a DeKalb County 2020 Leap Year Baby.

This event will be presented by Dr. Heather L. M. Breuer and Sycamore Park District Executive Director Daniel Gibble, who are both Leap Babies celebrating their 15th birthday.

Guests should RSVP for this part of the event by Feb. 25.
