Carroll County ISU Extension Offers Six-Week Program On Self-Care For Local Caregivers – 1380 KCIM

Carroll County Iowa State University (ISU) Extension and Outreach is offering a six-week seminar for local caregivers to learn how to care for themselves while supporting their loved ones. Powerful Tools for Caregivers is a six-week program, consisting of one 90-minute session per week, beginning March 10. Human Sciences Program Coordinator, Anjanette Treadway, and Human Sciences Specialist, Mackenzie DeJong, will help participants learn the importance of self-care and teach them to reduce stress, communicate, better, utilize available resources and more. Classes will be held from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday afternoons at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Carroll. Registration is $10 per person and can be completed using the contact points included with this story on our website.
