“It’s not a question of if you sell on Amazon, it’s when and how,” said Lewis, adding that product bundling on Amazon is one way he advises brands to be competitive.
Another way to be competitive, Lewis said, is by being relevant. “Staying relevant is about reading and listening. The saying is, you have two ears and one mouth. So you should be listening 70% of the time and talking 30% of the time. So I think the more you listen on social [media], the harder it is to be irrelevant.”
For brands trying to reach the modern consumer interested in supplements, campaigns that embrace social media, online influencers and technology are key.
