Dave Nevison's top tips for Wednesday: Eagle can swoop to success at Warwick – Racing TV

Top tipster Dave Nevison marks your card for the racing action at Warwick and Kempton on Wednesday – watch how his selections fare live on Racing TV.

2.40 Warwick: Eaglehill at 3-1 with Bet365

Eaglehill has hardly escaped notice that he is being brought along for handicaps, but it does seem the only person who did not think he was capable of massive improvement after his latest run was the official handicapper!

A selling plater’s mark of 102 looks more than generous for his 11-length beating at Stratford last time out and it is even more difficult to understand given that a horse who was 10 lengths behind him has already won a Uttoxeter novice hurdle.

Eaglehill is a point-to-point winner and his dam won a bumper, so the step up in trip looks certain to suit him well and this looks a good opportunity for him off bottom weight.

6.10 Kempton: Khuzaam at a general 2-1

Khuzaam was backed as if defeat was out of the question last time out on his handicap debut and, to be honest, those that got involved did not have enough on!

He won ridiculously easily by seven lengths looking every inch a pattern-race performer. He steps up to a numerically strong Listed race here and is up against a Group One winner but, in truth, most of the older horses giving him weight seem to have been struggling recently and can easily be beaten.

The Raichard Hannon-trained pair – War Glory and Oh This Is Us – will provide stiff opposition but I am sticking with Khuzaam to continue his steep upwardly mobile profile.

6.40 Kempton: Infrastructure at 9-2 with William Hill

I am hopeful of a good pace in this race given the presence of confirmed front-runner Rochester House and a handful of others who like to be prominent.

If I am right, that should set the race up for Infrastructure to show what he is capable of. I am convinced this horse is better than he has shown so far and I am hoping he is just a slow burner, rather than just slow!

He came from too far back at York last time out and could well have won in my opinion, but his mark would have suffered, so hopefully he gets the test he needs here and his followers can get their money back.
