Self Help Book Club meets Monday, September 10, 2018 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM
67 Main St.
For adults and teens ages 17+
We all go through struggles in life. Some of us feel we are not smart enough, not loved enough, not successful, not healthy enough. These feelings come from either comparing ourselves to others or what society portrays how we should be.
Come and join us in our self help book club where we will learn new ways to form a true beauty of our unique gifted self! By changing the way we view ourselves and developing new habits, we will build discipline, character, virtue, self love, as well as love for others, just by being PERFECTLY YOURSELF!
OUR FIRST BOOK WILL BE… “PERFECTLY YOURSELF” BY NEW YORK TIMES BEST SELLING AUTHOR MATTHEW KELLY
Book club will meet every 3rd Monday of the month, and is facilitated by Carmen Serrano. Carmen resides in Brewster NY and has been involved with Mental Health Advocacy with MHA for the past 8 months as a Peer Bridger. She works on educating peers on Mental Wellness and Recovery, as well as informing clients on services available within Putnam County. She has also been an “In Our Own Voice” speaker for NAMI and has spoken to families, peers, mental health organizations and law enforcement on Mental Wellness and Recovery and support to improve services offered to those who suffer from mental illness and their families.
Carmen is involved in her community church and has performed as an Opera singer throughout New York.
