When we’re little, motivation is easier, mostly because our parents made us do the things we really don’t want to do. Things like eating vegetables, watching less T.V, reading more and going outside to play and exercise.
As we get older and become adults, we no longer have anyone to ‘parent us’ and it becomes our job to make ourselves do the things we don’t want to do. Most of us just give in though, because we’ve had a hard day because, in our heads, we deserve that extra chocolate, next episode, next glass of wine.
But, this is where discipline comes in. And much like a muscle, the more you exercise it, the stronger it becomes! In this video from Video Advice on YouTube, you will see how important it is to parent ourselves and force ourselves to do the things we don’t necessarily want to do.
