With training camp on the horizon, the Eagles made on off-the-field move by naming Jen Kavanagh as senior vice president of media and marketing on Monday.
Kavanagh will oversee the organization’s content, marketing and media strategies.
“We are very excited to welcome Jen and her wealth of cross-platform expertise to our organization,” said Eagles President Don Smolenski. “Jen has established an excellent reputation in developing effective media and marketing strategies through her leadership and advisory work with several prominent entertainment companies.”
Kavanagh comes to the Eagles from JK Media, an award-winning advisory firm that she founded 15 years ago. JK Media provided insight-driven strategies for Fortune 500 companies and high-growth startups.
She previously worked at BRaVe Media Ventures, doing advisory work for major clients, placing an emphasis on persona mapping, sales strategy, marketing strategy, organizational development and OTT strategy. Additionally, she was responsible for the content acquisition and development arm of the business, driving innovation around packaging for co-production partners.
Prior to joining BRaVe, Kavanagh served as the Executive Vice President and U.S. General Manager of Beamly, a social-marketing platform for television. Beamly recruited Kavanagh from NBCU, where she was the Senior Vice President of Digital at the company’s Oxygen network. During her tenure with Oxygen, Kavanagh drove high-profile innovation that resulted in the network being recognized as a digital leader within the entertainment landscape.
